Psychopath President Duterte
Psychopath—just a word that doesn’t bear anything nocuous unless be proven with an objective medical basis that pins psychopaths as absolute dangerous creatures.
When Agot Isidro called President Duterte a psychopath. She did only justify that freedom of expression in Duterte administration was that simply alive! Her disrespect by calling as such to a no less than the president of the country may be tantamount to a malicious, false accusation.
On the other side of the coin, this political branding asserted how President Duterte so effective in his performance of his duty as the chief executive of the country!
A desperate political branding such as this can be attributed to a desperate attempt at a personality assassination. This obnoxious branding utilizes the social media to amplify its motive to weaken the target personality in a disguise of asserting the freedom of expression guaranteed by the bill of rights.
This old political maneuver, clouded by greed and self-interest, is a consummate ignorance and arrogance so divisive and surly coward more dangerous than a psychopath!
President Duterte isn’t anybody. He is at par different from the past presidents in the Philippines. He is a mixture of the consequences of past failed leadership. He is at his prime with nowhere to go but to die for his country in the name of public service defiant of norms and standards and of the monstrous visage of the business of gods, the drug trade.
Finer than the mists of a eau de parfum elites and the oligarchs are wearing, the President’s political scent and social collocation can be sniffed unrestrained, be seen no bounds, and be accepted as his normal philosophy of his own brand of politics nobody, so far, could buy it for the sake of politics.
There were over 16 million Filipinos voted Rodrigo Roa Duterte without hesitation in the 2016 presidential election. He won by his proudest expectation ‘laughing out loud’ lambasting anti-Dutertians for their drooping loss!
Then here come the critiques by swarm trying to proliferate in all corners of the world to weaken the strong empire of President Duterte, utilizing all possible gangs and cliques of oligarchs and elites for the President’s ouster. They murmur Diplomacy as if the Filipino masses could eat it literally to their satisfaction and could save them from the atrocity of narcotics that has influenced the political system of the country.
The reaping of the fruits of war against drugs is maybe too distant for Filipinos to celebrate and to end up with sour grapes. President Duterte may be harsh outright.
But this harshness, as days go by, becomes a brand new light that lets every Filipino peep a unique brand of change that is dawning. Despite all forms of personality assassination attempt to somehow strike another people power to oust President Duterte, the strong base of mostly Filipino masses remain loyal and caring for their president to continue his crusade against drugs.
This over 16 million Filipinos understood their president so well that insinuating him psychopath is a well-loved, most welcomed compliment. •MBO: MainBarOnline
